Meta-Godzilla is being revived?!?

So I don't want to get myself excited but, yes the rumors are finally back and apparently going to be an official concept render around Dec. 3rd during the 42nd annual Tokyo motor show. The Toyota Supra aka Meta-Godzilla will be revived. This is what I've been waiting for and not the 20 some FT-86 concept models flying around auto shows. You can also see from the LFA and the FT-86 how many design elements resemble--in my eyes--the Toyota Supra.

I'm not going to get excited just yet since I've already been let down before by Toyota, but I'll keep my fire lit. Although I do think the chances of one of my all time favorite cars being revived is a very possible outcome since Nissan has been doing great with the GTR aka Godzilla, and its time for its formidable rival to come back.

Also look out for Honda, because they are most definitely in the works of the new Honda NSX after previous CEO Mr. Fukui stopped future plans of the car four years ago. And its about time for Japan to answer the call, because the GTR can't do it all.

Lexus LF-A; Overpriced but one of the best in show at Chicago Auto Show!

"Beauty comes with a price".......that quote definitely follows this remarkable car. Yes guys its finally being released out of the garages and to the lucky 350 some people who had a chance to jump on this Toyota supercar named LF-A.

The Beasts Data:

Top Speed: 202
0-60: 3.6 seconds
HP: 550 HP (~8,400 rpm) w/ 354 ft/lbs of torque (6,800 rpm)
Power Horse: 4.8 V10 (Hand crafted!)
Transmission: 6 speed Paddle shift
Other: Carbon fiber material and blah blah blah all you guys care about is the data above!

This car is amazing and I love the way it looks the science behind it and the sheer power it has. The only thing that's confusing to me is that its $375,000 dollars. Is it because its made out of Carbon fiber material, maybe its the hand crafted engine, or maybe its the technologically advanced instruments in its interior. Whatever it is this car is overpriced in my eyes.

A Lamborghini LP460 cost 20k less, has a V12 engine boasting 640 HP, with all wheel drive! If you still think I'm pulling a big fit then think about their competitor Nissan. The Supra and Skyline GTR have always been bitter rivals. When the new GTR came out fans were excited and relieved that Nissan was listening to them. A car that's affordable (approx $80k), throwing 523 HP on your feet, and 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. This is true Japanese performance supercar in a V6 engine.
In the Supra's case Toyota threw it out and said we are moving on too "efficient" cars, later on to release a supercar in their luxury brand Lexus thats not affordable for common consumers. Even though this may be true, myself being a supra fan, I was very excited cause I knew this was a way Toyota was realizing it needed to revive the Phoenix that has fought the Godzilla GTR for many years.

Toyota Supra 1993-2002

From the MKI - MKIV Toyota's development of the supra has been respected by car enthusiasts world wide. Although future development of the Supra has been shifted due to gas emissions of their regulations, their Luxury brand Lexus has taken over with the LF-A 2010 (http://www.lexus.com/LFA/)and Toyota responding in the coming year of 2011 with the FT86.
I myself enjoy looking at any Supra I see in aww as I would look at a Rolls Royce or Enzo rolling down the street. It's a simple car with the Japanese construction that we all know and love. The supra had its best years with the Mark IV edition which was produced from 1993-1998 in the US and till 2002 in Japan, powered with an Inline 6 engine (2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE) with an option N/A or Twin Turbo.
Reaching to a top speed of about 174 mph with horsepower gains around 320 bhp, this was a monster in the line of production cars during its time as well as now. In todays market you can see how strong the ownership of a Supra has grown in which it retains its value at a great value just as the R34 Skyline. The respect for this car has continued to grow year by year by car magazines as well as tuners world wide. With magazines such as Import Tuner, Super Street, and HIN; with also the well known tuning companies in Japan Top Secret and Mines.
The most famous designs of this car have come from Top Secret's V12 Monster, ABFLUG's S-900, Veilside's Fortune 03', Mine's Supra, Charge Speed's Supra, TRD's Rare 3000gt (pictured above) and many more by other tuners. BPU upgrades are very well recommended to unleash this beasts true power thats being restricted, but even without that a clean stock supra will be enough to give you a thrill ride.
Ever since the Toyota 2000gt this supra might be the last super car branded by the Toyota emblem, well last one that consumes gasoline at a high rate.
